About Me.

I grew up working for a 100+ year old family business.

For a decade I consulted for energy companies, national laboratories, municipalities, and real estate developers on some of the biggest environmental remediation projects in the country.

I became a natural gas engineer in New York City. Designing & managing capital improvement projects while building a new department.

My wife and I moved to Portland, Oregon before COVID and saw an opportunity to start a home health business. We developed dozens of partnerships and helped over 100 patients rehab at home.

I started consulting again. In healthcare, in community with trade orgs, GTM for new products, and in management process for service businesses. I’ve looked under the hood of hundreds of companies in dozens of sectors.

Living in a business and constantly asking “why” is the best MBA. You simplify problems down to their smallest parts. You get to study leaders. Understand the model. Find the incentives. Find the control. And create leverage.

Understand the path of a dollar. Where a dollar comes from, when it comes in, how it comes in, and what happens to it inside of the business.

I'm an internet sleuth, a trend-hunter, and a public records junkie. I like dissecting industry dynamics and finding the traits that allow companies to succeed for a really long time.
